The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation

We are proud to support The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation as our sole beneficiary.

The B+ Foundation honors the life and legacy of Andrew McDonough, an athlete and ‘A’ student who courageously battled leukemia, septic shock, and complications from childhood cancer for 167 days. Andrew passed away on July 14, 2007, at just 14 years old. His blood type, B+, became his family and friends’ powerful motto throughout his fight, a reminder to always “Be Positive.”

Today, The B+ Foundation is dedicated to Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer. The Foundation provides both financial and emotional support to families nationwide who are affected by childhood cancer, while also funding critical, cutting-edge research to improve treatments and find cures.

The B+ Foundation is the largest provider for families of children facing childhood cancer.

$5+ million in family assistance

3,800 families of kids with cancer assisted

$2+ million in research grants (both national & international)

100s of B+ Heroes adopted by student groups

90+ college and high school partnerships

TCNJam believes that college students have the power to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. By raising funds and awareness, our participants help bring hope and change to children and families impacted by this disease.

One of the most meaningful parts of TCNJam’s partnership with The B+ Foundation is the emotional support that TCNJ students provide for the B+ Heroes. Each Hero is paired with Greek organizations, athletic teams, student groups, and residence halls, creating lasting friendships and inspiring connections that go far beyond the event.

We dance for our B+ Heroes.
